No liquid damage, no power.
Board came in with no power, heat from around isl6258 area.
Still heat coming from 6258 area, can't tell if it's from the under side or top side of the board.
Will grab some breakfast and probe around. Any ideas with the little info so far please?
Board came in with no power, heat from around isl6258 area.
- Left it plugged in for a while to see what burned my fingers, next thing fan spins and C7798 pops, fan promptly stops, Q4260 goes red hot and removes itself from the board (melted solder).
- At this point I guess the fireWire is fucked!
- Removed Q4262 and Q4261
