[SOLVED]820-3787 - Sensor issues

Hi,

I have a 820-3787 Logic board with numerous sensor issues. Hopefully someone has already cracked this.

CPU Proximity -(TC0P) Reads above the high limit
CPU Die - (TC1C) Reads above the high limit
CPU B Die 1 (TC2C) Reads above the high limit
CPU B Die 2 (TC3C Reads above the high limit
CPU Core Peci (TCXC) Reads above high limit


I have checked all pullups on the SMBUS, replaced the SMC, and replaced U5110, just in case GND_SMC_AVSS was the issue.

I also U5870 &U5850 incase these where bad.

Obviously i got some more learning to do.

This seems like a legit measurement as CPU Core Peci is a digital reading from the CPU and has nothing to do with the rest of the sensors. Check CPU temperature and heat sink contact. Maybe bad heat pipe.

Again Duke you are right. The bad heatpipe never even entered my train of thought.

This is like the 2nd heatpipe I have ever had to replace.

Problem Solved.....
