[SOLVED]820-3435 - No Picture, backlight or chime.

Fan spins up high if TP not connected, normal when connected.

Seem to be missing EDP_PANEL_PWR

U8300 is getting PP3v3_S5 but L8304 measures 0v.

Will try with an external screen once my adapter gets returned, but it doesn't chime so I'm not expecting much.

Customer said it works but has no picture, it was dropped off while I was out so didn't get to speak with her.

Board is clean, I can only see a little discolour around U3900.

U3900 gets so hot it burnt my finger!

U3900 seems to control the camera. I am thinking of cutting power off from it and seeing if that improves the rest of the board.

Can someone suggest the best way of removing power. Thinking of removing L3901, but maybe L3903/4 too.

Ended up just removing U3900. Board boots fine.

Mark solved, customer said they can survive without camera.

half of my customers have tape over it anyway. It puts a smile on my face when I see that - it means I can remove U3900 without having to "sell" them anything

I'm getting a few of taped up cameras too lately.
Always makes me wonder what they get up to in front of the laptop that they feel needs to be hidden.

I think you did a video on that once.
