Dead LP8550 is a good start.

It's new, however, I can't garauntee it's on perfectly. Is the orientation the same as for a 3115?

tried a different lp8550,checked out ball 5, all is good. All is well at Q9706.

Anything seem amiss beside the fact that the backlight isnt working?

Pin 24-29 should all be the same value. This would suggest a fucked 8550 or wrong orientation. BV has pin 1 marked of course.
