Macbook air 820-3023

I have a macbook air that will lag on booting into recovery menu and will artifact while trying to install an OS and freeze. I suspected it being ram. I reflowed ram a bit as well as gpu and smc nothing has changed. Is it possible for mac to still boot even with faulty ram?

Yeah the usual crap with these, hopeless. Either bad RAM, bad CPU, or cracked solder or traces. Just too many variables to make this a worthwhile repair.

Bad CPU or maybe bad traces to the ram. Like duke said, hopeless.

When a customer wants to bring in this model I always ask if it shows graphical glitches or "3 beeps". If its yes I usually don't even take it in anymore
