820-3332 No Boot

Customer brought in an 820-3332 that would not boot. He tried to reinstall MacOS Sierra, and he ran into this issue. We tried to boot off several external boot drives, and we got the same issue. Would starting with U8900 be a good idea in this case or no? Just wanna start in the right place before doing anything dumb.

Also, every other chime this thing doesn't display it stays black. It has no image when that happens.

The common U8900 issue, resolder it.

Ok when you resolder U8900 do you pull it and apply new solder or do you just retouch the joints?

Touched up edges on chip and it works! Thanks for the help Duke! Bad thing for customer is his battery is also screwed, but that's an easy fix.

I just touch up the solder and then give it a reflow.

Ok thats basically what I did I preheated it with flux and then touched up the edges the iron. Works the way it should now so appreciate the help!
