Got a macbook in today, its liquid damaged, the battery is swollen and doesn’t work.

The board has no corrosion whatsoever and looks new, doesn’t look like its been cleaned. no burned components etc.

put a new battery in and its charging fine. the mac just wouldn’t boot. fan spins, cpu cold to the touch, tried smc. PRAM doesn’t work, no chime.

any suggestions?

Been told it Has cpu Vcore , will confirm
no corrosion in the u6100 and u1900 area
No light on usb mouse
Doesn’t seem like a dead lcd, as it has no chime

Update: Replaced u1900 and heated u6100, no luck

new to this so ill try my best., Now theres no fan spin, just light on charger. don’t know what i did...

PPBUS_G3H and PPBUS_S5_HS_OTHER5V and PPBUS_S5_HS_OTHER3V3 is 12.63v, shouldn’t it be 8.6v?,

PPDCIN_G3H_ISOL is 17.11v instead of 18.5v

These lines are present:

PP3V42_G3H
PPRTC_G3H
PP5V_S5
PP3V3_S5

Rest of the rails are 0v

What happened? If you slipped with a probe or something I cannot diagnose that from here. Are you using a 60W charger? Is there corrosion under the SMC? Picture of U6100 area? J6100 checked for corrosion?
