820-3536 Random issues, BIOS prob f**ked with

Got a computer that came in that does random stuff. It won't display or boot rn or chime for that matter but the fans do spin. Customer said it would work off charger for a while and then just randomly go dark again. Inspected board and looks like a flux substances was caked near BIOS chip. Is there any solution to this or is this trash?

Start with cleaning it up and getting the exact history of the machine.

Ok machine was sold to the store as a refurb. Original owner said refurbished from liquid damage and had new SSD installed. Sold to us fully functional sold to customer then returned to the store with issues turning on. I looked through the board and found absolutely zero liquid. Asked original seller since he's our local electronics recycler and he said he didn't know about BIOS but I think he's lying.

Inspect traces to U6100 and try a known good chip for testing. Read original chip and compare serial/board numbers to see if it is original.
