hi,
I found this values on U6990

1 : 0,4v
2 : 16,3v
3 : 3,06v
6 : 1,2v
7 : 2,3v
8 : 1,2v
10 : 0,6v

any idea ? :) please

Pin 3 is the VIN, voltage in pin. We expect here DC in voltage or battery voltage. The battery is 11-12v, the DC in voltage should be 16v.

PPDCIN_G3H_OR_PBUS goes through R6990 to send 16v to the voltage in pin. It also goes through R6993 to enable the chip to turn on.

Since pin 2 is 16v, I can assume that PPDCIN_G3H_OR_PBUS is present.

Since pin 3 is 3v, I can assume that either one of two things is true.

1) C6990 is short circuiting pin 3 of U6990 to ground.
2) R6990 is blown.

It is possible both of the above are true. What is the resistance of R6990? What is the resistance to ground at pin 3 of U6990? Measure without power applied of course.

many thanks :) (Louis ?) :)
Yes the R6990 was blown.. now I have the green light but no boot.
I found 3v3 on PP3V3_S5_AVREF_SMC and 3v41 on PP3V3_S5_SMC_AVCC
and 3v4 on SMC_ADAPTER_EN
what's wrong ?

1) What voltage is PPBUS_G3H?

2) If you measure the list of rails on page 7 of the schematic, what rails are present? What rails are missing?

Does PM_SLP_S4_L pulse when you plug in the charger?

3) Are you using an original 85w charger?
