Green light turns on and then turns to orange. Even with no battery plugged in. The customer states no liquid dmg but smelled something burning. I looked for any signs of damage thoroughly under the scope Looks brand new. I checked the 2 power rails this is what i have so far.
PP3v42_g3h is present
PPbus_g3h i get 16 volts till it gets to the u7100 chip after f7140 and before i get .0754 ? is this normal or is voltage here only present when lcd is plugged in ?? is u7100 messed up ?

This is my first real customer board...

When i put multi meter on diode mode and probes on f7140 there seems to be a short to ground... reading starts at .089 then drosp to zero.

Well, F7140 is dead for sure and 16V on PPBUS is what killed it. Also putting 5A into the board something must heat up, find that first because I suspect it may be the CPU
