3476 with ASD Error...

  • 3476 with ASD Error...

    Had a 3476 with some issues, no start, no power, then it would start but kernel panic. Replaced corroded r8185 and trace. powered up but kernel panicked. Ran ASD that failed. Said "ASD-Sensor Failure Voltage VD0R DC-in Failed Value 19.86"
    and
    Error 2 Sensor reading above alarm point

    Any idea what this means?

    DC In Voltage Sense & Enable (VD0R), page 40.
    Check Q5490 area for corrosion.
    R5499 open/corroded, or higher value?

      Are you using an 85W charger?? Try a 60W charger... Original of course...

        I actually changed out Q5490 as there was a small amount of corrosion near it. I ran ASD a couple times and it passed. However it still
