820-2936 fake charging

so this board will charge white the computer is off. Light comes on and os says the charger is plugged in. however the battery drains. He came in with a fake charger, so pretty sure that killed it. Where to start on this guy?

Tried known good battery and/or DC in board? If so, post resistance between pins 17/18 and 27/28 of the ISL6259 as well as voltage on PPBUS without the battery

17/18/ - 3 ohms
27/28 - 2.02

These values are correct no? I tried a good magsafe, but not battery. Have to order one, do you think this could be caused by a battery?

20.2 ohms or 2.02 kohms? If 20.2 ohms, try another battery first. Bad battery will obviously not charge. Voltage on PPBUS without the battery?

2.02khoms sorry, my bad.

Computer will not turn on without battery. keeps resetting after 2-3 seconds.

ppbus is 12.57v then drops to 10.8v

That's the problem 2.02 kohms is way way way off. There are a few possibilities here:

1. R7021 is blown
2. R7022 is blown (both could be blown as well)
3.R7020 is blown (unlikely but possible)
4. The traces between the ISL and R7021/2 are blown OR between R7021/2 and R7020 are blown.

Also a good idea to replace the ISL6259 when you figure out which of the above are true.
