820-00239 Touchbar Macbook Pro A1706 Display issue

Hello guys i'm working on this touchbar mac which has a strange problem, if i disconnect the battery and boot it up with power adapter i get backlight if i try with battery connected backlight dims out any ideas what this could be. Never came across an issue like this before.

What happens if starts with battery only?
Check SMC_LID signal in both cases.
Did PRAM reset?

turns on with backlight then goes dim

I'm assuming when you say backlight you get image as well?

SMC_LID drops too?
It goes dim slightly, or immediately after turn on?
Backlight controls from touchbar have any effect?

Can you test another known good battery?
