Yes had liquid damage .
voltage on PPBUS close to 0 , no short to gorund .
when inject 8.6v to PPBUS the board is works and fan spin .
checked all the PPBUS Rails they looks good .
have green light on the charger and pp3v42 is 3.4v .
That is LITERALLY impossible lmao you can't have 0 volts on PPBUS and the machine turn on.......what is PPBUS without the battery plugged in just the charger?
As I mentioned I injecued 8.6 volt from the power supply and the board turns on . I did not say it is turn on without PPBUS .
Without battery plugged I get 0.3 v
So how do you know the battery has an X through it??? Lets start with the basics where was the original corrosion? When you measure voltage with just the charger, do you get a light on the charger? If PPBUS is 0.3 and not shorted to ground, what is your resistance between pins 17/18 and 27/28 of the ISL6259?
Sorry my bad we have so many boards here which made me confused
This one yes work only with charger and shows x on the battery .
maybe ISL is bad ,will replace it tomorrow and update you .
but another board 820-00165 that has 0.3 volt on the PPBUS
has green light on the charger and no short to the ground
when i inject 8.6 v from power supply it is turning on .
missing PPBUS
Ok so start another thread for that board to keep them straight. We can help with both. On this board, either bad ISL or bad SMC causing the X for the battery.
