820-00239 No image after water damage

Hi,

Got 820-00239 with water damage. Have already repaired all main rails and now machine starts but still no image. I dont have for now usb-c to hdmi so can check if external display is working.


Checked EDP area and EDP_PANEL_PWR_EN is missing and than PANEL_P5V_EN and PANEL_P3V3_EN are 0 too. All tests are done with good lcd conected.


I see that EDP_PANEL_PWR_EN is coming from CPU.


Any suggestion ?

Just now it gives me about EDP_PANEL_PWR_EN give me 6V PANEL_P5V_EN 5V but display was still black with no backlight. My last boards are all with this kind of shitty intermittent issues.

Possibly crap under BGA chips.
Use good flux and heat them.
Worst thing if some data lines have got overvoltage from 5V, 13V, or even backlight output...
Liquid spill on the new boards (where Apple didn't start to solder chips one on top of other yet) is a nightmare.
