i have a 820-2879 that customer used someone elses charger, and there was damage on Q7080 & F6905, PPBUS_G3H shorted to ground,
i injected power, and found the short, but the short went away partially, then injected power again at another point where PPBUS_G3H was still shorted, and it heated else where, removed that, and it seems to keep going,
PPBUS_G3H does not find the actual short, just partially, is this a dead board?

Could be, if you inject voltage without minimal precautions!
NEVER ever inject voltage on PPBUS_G3H before checking for shorted high-side MOSFETs.
If not you may inject high voltage on the PCH, or CPU.

Which is the actual value of that "short".
What did you find and removed from board untill now?
