Hi everybody,

Can you please help solve this repair. Customer informed that his iMac randomly switches off and takes a while to switch it back on. Sometimes can work for a week straight without experiencing the problem. When it shut off it needs a few hours without power to come back to life.
I am suspecting faulty PSU but can't test because can't reproduce the problem.

THanks!

If machine doesn't fail in the service, that is a problem.
You cannot repair something just changing things, without real feedback...
When it fails you can change something and test to see if fails again.
Let it runing Unigine Heaven, or other stress software; don't touch hardware before get a fail.

Yes agree about changing things without feedback but this bastard has been running Heaven all weekend and has not yet failed. Feels bad to give it back without a repair but what else can I do?
