820-00840 short on pp3v1_rtc

this machine was powering on even after a cola spilled on it. i decided to clean it for safe measure and now it doesn't power up. i found short to ground on pp3v1_rtc. i'm new to the touchbar logic boards. i looked at the schematic but i'm still lost as to which chip creates pp3v1_rtc and is it safe to inject 3 volts since this rail goes directly to the cpu

Voltage comes out from U7800.
And can be PCH, or U7800 fault.

If is not really short, then is possible to be crap under one of it; put good flux and heat for test.
If is a very low value (000-003), you can try injecting voltage.

There are also 2-3 caps which you can check fiest.

i have removed u7800 from the board and 3v1_rtc still has very low resistance to ground. is this value coming from pch_intruder_l? R1401 has very low resistance on both sides

R1401 has 1M, so cannot generate such fail.
But if you have short to ground in two different points of PCH (VCCRTC and INTRUDER) that points to bad PCH 100%...

"put good flux and heat for test."
But I doubt it will help in this case...

"all i did was ultrasonic the board"
No sweep function???
How many minutes left the board in the UC?

removed the caps from the rail and i check them then i put them back and the short went away. maybe the heat got to the pch

well i'm waiting on a stencil that i ordered to put u7800 back on the board but i'm confident that the short was the issue
