820-00281 still 5v after all USB-C where changed

This board is showing 5.2V on the charger. The USB C Controllers have already been replaced and the issue persits.

What do you check/how do you find the responsible port? And what could be some more possible causes?

Any history available?
Did replace the CD3215 with exact same termination?
C00 and B03 are not compatible, for example...

What voltage do you get on PP3v3_G3H? And yes, hopefully, you replaced with the same firmware C00 or B03...

There is your problem you will NOT get 20 volts without PP3v3 it has to be present. Resistance to ground on that line?

Do you get 5V at R7020?
If not, post diode mode (red probe at ground) at R7020 and F7000.

PP3v3_G3H is shorted.. The SMC is the problem... should we try to recplace it, or not

Is the SMC definitely the short? If so, replacing it should fix the issue

If short is gone when remove the SMC, change it.
Remember to use one from same 00281 donor board...

Now, we changed the SMC and the short is gone. Still 5v on the charger tho.. I noticed that all ports except one draws about 150mA. Only one is drawing just 11mA. Does that tell us somethng ? or is it irrelevant
