Hi Repair People.

I'm new here and would appreciate your help. I'm working on an Air 820-00165-a liquid damaged which i managed to power on. Had damange near SMC, battery controller tps 625, 51980a and few other places. Contacts renewed everywhere that needed. The issue is that when i have the battery and charger plugged in not powering on or if i power on on charger and then plug in the battery it turns off the adapter completely. Also i replaced the charging controller which i took out from an old board for parts. Any advice please? THANKS :D

Post exact voltage for PPBUS_G3H (F7140) on charger only, without battery connected.
Also the exact resistance between pins 17/18 and 27/28 of U7100 (ohm scale); remove any power first!
You could have shorted D-S Q7130, or/and Q7155.

Please post EXACT value on ohm scale.

No shorts on Q7130"
Are you sure Q7130 is not shorted D-S on high side?
I mean between pins 9-10 (2-10) in schematic, for example...

Still impossible!
Look at schematic and guess the values; aprox 2 and 20 ohms respectively...

Your issue is the charger circuit as 2informaticos said. Replace the ISL6259, Q7130, and Q7155 all at the same time and comment

PPDCIN_G3H_CHGR and CHGR_PHASE on q7130 are shorted i replaced isl6259 and q7155 but i need to find from another board q7130

Update:
C7125 was damaged i replaced it and on contact 2 of it the line was broken CHGR_PHASE so i rewired and now powering on only on battery :p

ok so... found some more damaged around SMC made the connections to make sure all good and replaced Q7130. When laptop plugged in shows green light and orange no power on, but soon as i plug in the battery powers on right away and if i unplug the battery turns off and light stays on.

F7140 is 3.6v when only on charger
CHGR_ACIN was 3.6v only on charger , once battery plugged in power on and jumps to 3.9 and i think it should be 4.8 calculated by the resistance on 7110 and 7111.
I fixed the trace for CHGR_PHASE from C7125 powering on now and charging atm hope will be good. One thing now is that the CPU is overheating :D
