820-00045-a boosts to 20v, charges battery, doesn't see the ssd

What can it be? the SSD has power, but it's not seen, can't boot from external either because the USB C dock doesn't get any power from the board and doesn't turn on.
any ideas?

Not recognizing SSD is common failure on this board.
Strange that no USB activity, in your case.

Any history available?
Look close to J4700 for corrosion.
Check U7860/65/80 voltages.

Trash probably bad SSD or SSD controllers.
