Hey,

working on IMAC 27 - 820 3478 and this one didn't turn on!

I found Q7650 shorted on REG_PHASE_P5VS4.

Q7650 = FDMC0223S - I can't find datasheet of this mosfet and can't find on ebay!

I don't want to take the risk to put some PNP mosfet and 1 month later it coming back again! I hate to open this imac's because of the risk to break the LCD!

Anyone advice me some equivalent mosfet or i must to buy a donor board? In motherboard of macs exist some mosfet equivalent?? Other question i must replace Q7650 and Q7655 at once?

thanks

You can use an high-side MOSFET from any GPU/CPU power supply; just need to have same package, SOP8 is OK.
If you change Q7655 too, choose one with integrated Schottky diode; almost all low-side MOSFETs have it.
Be sure R/C7656 are good.

"PNP mosfet"
I do NOT really understand what this mean...

Thanks a lot Mr.Vali!

i means N channel mosfet!

i think only transistor can be designated PNP - (N channel mosfet) and NPN - (P channel mosfet).

I think that's what I learned at school a long time ago!

many thanks
