hi i am new here thanks for any help you can give i have a macbook air 820-00165 ho backlight when i add power my pphv_sosw_lcdbklt reads 8.5v then drops when the boost circuit turns on it only goes up to 20v then drops to 8.5 i change the led driver but nothing how can i know the driver is working right

Normal voltage is 25V aprox.
If you get 20V, backlight circuit works somehow, but something blocks it.
You should first try known good LCD assembly.
Use search function on the forum, you will find many-many threads about this board.
I bet you have bad solders on U7701 now, if don't get 20V again at least.
Don't forget to check XW7720 bridge; pictures available on the forum.
Do first few PRAM resets...
