820-00165 (Battery current monitoring 10 ohm resistor eating bitch)

I had a return cross my bench. The original repair was R7121 and R7122 on U7100 were out of spec. " not close to 10 ohms ". Well it's back and they are bad once more. I assume I have to replace U7100 but wanted feed back from others out there. I don't understand how U7100 could fail like this. The original repair lasted for three weeks before failing again. I have measured both of these lines to ground and resistance is infinite.

Change C7121/22 and U7100.

In the future should I change U7100 when I discover failure on R7121 and R7122 just to be safe?

Apart of both caps, only U7100 can cause problems there...

I always replace the ISL if the sense resistors are blown

ok. I will start replacing the ISL. They are not that expensive. LOL I could get some big honking resistors and put them on there. Blow that MacBook .
