Got this board that had been repaired somewhere. With battery connected machine sometimes starting, other not. CHecked PPBUS and it's about 6,2V. If I unplug the battery it became normal value 8,6V.

My question is: Can bad battery be cause of this kind of issue?

Also with battery connected PPBUS begins at 6V and going up untill 8,6V

Checked with mac booted.

Battery disconected PPBUS is 8,6, once connect it go down to 7,2. The battery is good know one.

Sorry problem is back. With flex connected 7,11V without Flex 8,60.

It's like when i have green/orange on it's failin, when not it's ok.


What can it be?

And what voltage do you expect with battery connected?
PPBUS_G3H automatically drops, when battery is charging.
It will slowly increase, until battery is fully charged; then switch back to 8.6V and green light too.

never notice that. So ppbus depends of battery charge %?

Today i got another one with exactly same issue. Sometimes it starts and all is ok other time not starting. Any idea what i must check first?
