Water damaged. Arrived with no light on charger. Replaced U7100 U5110. Reballed original SMC but no change. Also replaced SMC from donar but still no change. SMC_RESET_L 3.3V. There was no water damage in SMC area

PPBUS_G3H 8.22V
SMC_RESET_L 3.3V.
PP3V42_G3H 3.42v

Should SMC be replaced again from another donar or should something else be checked first?

Post diode mode and voltage on SCL/SDA lines of battery bus.
Check if R7100 is good.
Did you try SMC bypass mode?
3V3_S5/SUS present?

Second SMC replacement was no change

0.490 490 SCL SDA lines 3.4V 3.4V

r7100 good

have not tried SMC bypass since there is no light on charger

3V3_S5 3.3V

3v3_sus 0.108V

Yes SMC_RESEL_L is a steady 3.4V

Replaced SMC again from another donar but still no change.

Replaced again once again after that (4th SMC now) but this time from a board that had other issues but still gave a green light. STILL no change or light. Something else must be causing SMC not to function.

Any other ideas?

Check the 4 SMC_Txx lines on page 37.
Also check PP1V2_S5_SMC_VDDC presence.
Diode mode to ground at SMC_PM_G2_EN?

Removed SMC and continiuity to SMC_PM_G2_EN and U7501 is good. Soldered SMC back but same results.

Remove R8140 and check again SMC_PM_G2_EN voltage.
Did you try to start in SMC bypass mode?

Be sure not short on 3V3/5V_S5, or other rail.
Is SMC detects a problem, can pull dowsn SMC_PM_G2_EN for protection reason.
Check for pulse on it (and also 3V3/5V_S5) when you connect the charger.
