820-3023 power button issue

Hi, I have on the bench an 820-2023 that runs, but will not turn off using the power button. Any clue what to look for? Is PM_PWRBTN_L have anything to do with it?

SMC_ONOFF_L drops when you press power button?
If not, probably bad keyboard; at least power button.

Check first what happens using power pads from MLB, R5015/16.

Power on pads turn it on/off. I found that the keyboard ribbon latch is broken on the trackpad.
