Laptop had a cup of coffee dumped on it by a feline villain.

Managed to get it back up and running, but it is reporting no WiFi hardware. Have tested with a known good card & cable.

PP3V3_WLAN:probe 1508 = 3.317

L3501::All Pins = 1.5mV

C3522 == 3.317

L3504::pin1 & 2 == 3.317

C3521 == 3.317

C3520 == 3.3137

Q3550::pin 1 == 3.315
Q3550::pin 2 == 3.315
Q3550::pin 3 == 1.8mV
Q3550::pin 4 == 3.315

C3550 == 3.315
C3551 == 3.315
R3550 == 1.8mV & 32kOhms
R3551::pin 1 == 3.315 & Pin 2 = 1.8mV & 10k Ohms.
Q7921::pin 1 == 3.315

The coffee wasn't around this area though, it was more around the bios area. Maybe that gives a clue.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions! :)

U3540::pin4 == 3.3v
U3540::pin7 == 2.4mV

Everything looks nice and tidy in the general area. The connector looks good as well. I just tested with another cable again.

U3540 has a pull-up resistor on pin 7 to PP3V3_WLAN_F (R3553).... Check if it is present, also doble check connector or maybe U3540 is shorted and pulling down the voltage......

It should be low with airport connected and high with disconnected.

Check on diode mode:
L3501 pin 1,4
C3530/31 both sides
R3510/11 both sides

L3501::1 = 0.324
L3501::2 = 0.319

C3530 & C3531 are missing off the board.
Checked on a donor 3115-B and it has those two capacitors. Going to do a transplant and report back.

I must have knocked them off the board because they were measured above....

So I replaced C3530 and C3531 and the wifi works, I must have knocked them off at some stage.

Thanks Dukefawks.
