  • [SOLVED]Apple Cinema 30" Display Main logic board

Does anyone have any experience repairing these? The screen will not turn on. No light in front led. I do not have schematics for this one, but I have tried to google if this is a common issue.
It seems like there is a lot of these displays with similar symptoms which leaves me thinking there may be some weak components in these displays.
I know the power supply is good and outputs 24V as it should.

Fried voltage regulator usually. I fixed a few of them, don't remember which one it was. Maybe take a picture of the board and upload somewhere. Not on forum!

I remember having a low resistance to GND on the power pin of one of the EEPROMs(U302/204). The EEPROM was bad and either U101 or 102 and also U303.
So check for power on both of those coils and check resistance on power on of both EEPROMs. Also check CPU power bus on C206/208/211.
You can also see a LED to the right of the CPU, it should come on.
Disconnect inverter to rule that out, I have had those die too.

Do you know if Pin 8 powers the U302 and 204?

Ok, then. I really don't know what happened with this one, but after mounting the board back in it suddenly started working again and have been running fine for three days now.
