Ebay is full of adjustable 5A power supplies for <$50. They will all do just fine for your intended purpose.

Forget about 2 outputs; uselles for this job.
But 10A output is good to have.
A short which takes 0.6V/5A is more dificil to find than 1V/10A.
A large BGA chip, like PCH, CPU, or GPU doesn't heat easy with just 3W...

no, just a on off switch for more convenient so i dont need to turn off the power supply unit itself.

The fact that your primary use for this thing is to short the power supply out and draw excess current in order to heat a bad part should be considered when choosing a PSU.

If you go ahead and buy a cheap PSU from eBay make sure before you use it that you open it up and check things like proper mounting to heatsinks and proper grounding and so on. The fact that it's probably been rattled about when shipped from china, and china man does not always implement the best QC anyway... Open it, check it and fix anything that does not look right.

The PSU I like to use on logic boards is a Tenma PSU like the one below but as mentioned you don't need dual tracking I just use it because it's one I don't mind killing:

This PSU was also reviewed in a few YouTube videos and issues were found. The issues were sorted out by the manufacturer and the new revision reviewed again. From that point it was all good. That's why I got this one.
