How to bench test an iMac?

I was thinking of soldering (and heat shrinking) the little PA45/HXT-type (not sure of the model) connector onto an old power cord and using that directly into the PSU.

Just wondering if anyone has a safer battle proven system.

Uhm, just get an iMac carcass and extend the power cable to the board.

Found an iMac chassis and it has the male plug as well.
They must have swapped the plugs around at some for some reason.

Will keep looking.


Edit: Found the female plug and made a little harness. Works well.
