Resistor and Capacitor Kits? Good investment for a beginner?

I have been looking at diffrent things on to get from mouser.com when I am first starting out repaing motherboards. I know there are some things that Louis says you should just keep in stock like the LP8550 back light chip, should I also invest in a resistor kit or a capacitor kit? And if so does anyone have a recommendation as to what one to get? Or when starting out should I just try and pull parts off of other boards and reuse them? Just getting into micro-soldering myself a lot of stuff is new and I am struggling a little when i comes to what parts I should keep in stock, and how much to bye. Obviously what I keep in stock is proportional to the number of repairs I can do in a week/month but other than the LP8550 is there a list of 'must have parts' I should keep in stock all the time? Any advice would be helpful.
