I have an 820-3115 liquid damage around SMC. Originally no magsafe light. Removed and reballed SMC, now I get magsafe and fan spin with the fan at full speed after 5 seconds.
CPU has a little heat in it after a min or so.
ALL_SYS_PWRGD = 3.29v
PPVCORE_S0_CPU = 0.00v
I'm stuck with this one...
Took off the pad, dug down and separated the short. It had burnt the fiberglass layers under it so bad that it was shorting under the pad. I've removed the short now and i'll attempt to run trace wires in its place instead
The closest to 0.002ohms are L7410 @ 4.8ohms, L7420 @ 4.9ohms and L7430 @ 4.9ohms. L7210-7210 are both at 10ohms. The rest are 60ohms on a couple and Kohms or Mohms to GND
Hi I have an 00875 board with an exploded C7222. Removed the capacitor and others around it on PPBUS_G3H_CPU.
PPBUS_G3H_CPU is still shorting to ground with them removed but I can't locate the short anywhere. Its 0.000v on diode mode.
I've tried a little voltage an some alcohol to see if...
Swapped out LP8550. (looking at the state of the LVDS connector originally, I'm not surprised it was dead) now works perfectly.
As ever @2informaticos thank you for your help.
not sure if the SMC didn't survive the heat cycle or I messed it up, but I have no fan spin at the moment. SMC looks like its on perfectly under the microscope. Looks like I'll have to take it back off.

All test as schematic, can't see any issues with traces on the microscope.
Going to reball the SMC now
PLT_RESET_L is 3.3v
The BIOS chip was from a dropped 820-00165 (dead CPU) so the bios should be okay but I suppose it could be also faulty.
The only programmer I have is SOFI SP8 for doing bios locks on the old A1278/A1286 boards. I haven't programmed the bios on A1466 before, sorry.
I've tested with two seperate USB that I know will boot. Neither of them flash continuously like it is booting the OS.
Tried with internal SSD removed also, don't think it is trying to boot.
