Originally came in with liquid damage and a damaged trackpad connector and cable. I replaced the cable and trackpad connector and repaired a trace for the keyboard on pin 6 and that worked fine. It was sent back working, customer (who is another shop) was responsible for putting it completely...

R8431/32 are good and so are it's traces. R8433 is good and so are their traces. Q8401 seemed good as well, swapped anyways. Traces for it are good too. BKLT_EN_R - Has 3V for initially before going to 0v Changed U8400 a couple times as well with no change.

No. It seems like the boards with 2 nands, one on each side of then board, don’t have u9000 and the boards that have 4 total, 2 on each side, do have u9000. I have multiple boards in which this is the case.

I understood that but I guess I’m not sure where the ssd rails are created. This board does not have u9000 on it.

I tried a pram reset without success. but what did work for me was putting the MacBook into dfu. From there, since I didn’t have to worry about data, I restored it. After the restore was finished I had backlight again. A really strange issue but hopefully this will help someone else. thanks...

Yes it’s an original cable. I have a complete working a1990 that I took the cable from and installed the logic board into the housing. I’m also able to verify the lcd cable and lcd for the board I’m having issues with works with a known good logic board.

Thanks for the reply. The issue was a trace between Pin 8 of U5850 and Pin 6 of U5820. Ran a wire and it works great now. Thanks for your help.
