    I usually just reflow it, but if it comes back, it is always replaced. I don't even reball them rather rule out bad chip being heated at that point.

    Inspect all traces/probe points near U6100 would not be surprised at all if one is busted left of the BIOS chip.

    How do you know it?s shorted to ground what is resistance to ground on that line?

    You can use 13 vs 15 Retina screens interchangeably for testing; HOWEVER, the 2015 is a different screen than the others. Late 2012/Early 2013, Late 2013/Mid 2014, and 2015 all different screens. MacBook Air screen will definitely not work.

    If that screw holes is busted, you're going to have other issues once you fix the power issue just forewarning you...

    Run HWMonitor for Mac and report which sensors are failing. Was there any liquid near the fan FPC?

    Resistance to ground on PPVRTC_G3H? You're going to have an issue with that line causing no power most likely. Could be U1900 or a short.
