P3V8AON_VSW1 is now at .356 diode mode!
P0V9_LX0_NAND0 is .286 should be .310.
P0V9_LX1_NAND0 is .291 should be .310.
P1V2_LX0_NAND0 is .004 should be .306, looks like we got a problem here. Glad you told me to check the coils.
I removed LN430 and the short is on pin 2 or on PP1V2_NAND0.
UN400 seems to be getting hot from voltage injection in to P3V8AON_VSW1. Q5840/20/00 I removed because all these were getting hot too. I took those off one by one and now UN400 is suspect. I originally looked at this board thinking something could be going on with the SSD. What dio you think? I...
QC280 had a short! I am getting consistent pulling of .44 amps now wheas I was only getting the amps pulled for the first few minutes and it would drop to 0 amps. Pins 6 on QC280 which is P5VS2_DSCHG is getting 1.96v while plugged in. I had removed both C5701 and C5702 as they both looked a...
P3V8AON_SW3 diode mode is 2.278
P3V8AON_SW2 diode mode is 2.278
Q5840, Q5820, L5840, L5820, and R5800 are currently lifted with the above readings.
In addition, L5800 is now lifted too, P3V8AON_VSW1 is .490 diode, .PP3V8AON_PH1 diode is .056.
Everything keeps pointing back to PP3V8_AON like you...
Thank you. I have not put back U8100 yet but poking around P3V8AON_VSENSE diode mode reading is .05, should be .356. What is this sensing? I keep coming back to this area too but NOSTUFF is in this area.
Okay, let me bounce this off you then if I may. Since I removed U8100, the up and down voltage on L5800 pad 1 is now for the most part stable at 3.9v. This may be because of removing U8100? However in the process, I knocked a few other components around U8100 off. So I will be cleaning the area...
Oh okay, I went to that originally because when I removed all three L5820/40/00, the voltage went back up to 3.4v on pin 1 for all three. Where would you look to next then knowing this?
With L5800/20 both removed and L5840 back on, L5800 pin 1 is flucuating constantly from 4.7v to 5.7v.
Sorry? I don't understand what you mean by this?
I know 3V8_AON is the problem but I am not sure how to narrow this down to find what exactly problem is?
I have replaced L/Q5800, U5700, R5800, and I still am getting low voltage at L5800, it is still bringing the voltage down. I got 5.04v on the amp meter and it is pulling .42 amps.
P3V8AON_SW2 diode mode reading is .03, it should be .360.
What should I try next?
With both Q8500 and L8500 removed, I do get 3.8v on P3V8AON_SW1. I also get 12.2v on PPVIN_P3V8AON_ISNS.
So I very carefully put back on Q8500 and I am getting the 3.8v now on P3V8AON_VSW1, but as soon as I stick back on L5800, it brings the voltage down to 1.4v. Something on the side...
Okay, trying to isolate the problem I have removed the following in this order: rd503, rd591, rd590. As soon as I removed I got 12.26v back on pin 2. Pin 4 and pin 3 were at first pulsing 1.4v to 1.5 but now those same pins are .500 thru .200 volts.
Yea, measuring again, it has gotta be on the...
No dice, I had a donor board with the same chip, swapped it out, no change, the U8100 chips is still heating up. I did reach back out to the customer to get further clarification on the problem and this is what he told me:
The computer was working fine with no issues. I use it for work and it's...
3V8_AON voltage is: 1.48volts.
Sorry, I must have been editing my post when you wrote in. Here are my findings to your question and more I did:
With fuses back on, PPVIN_P3V8AON_ISNS is 6.129volts
Diode mode: PP5V_AON_P3V8AON .511 looks good.
P3V8AON_PVCC .553 looks good.
P3V8AON_PWR_EN_R .585...
