I tried injecting voltage to 1V8_S2 with the infared cam but could not see anything getting hot. It doesnt really seem to be taking any amps. Milliamps but very low.
Now I have no short at all on PP1V8_S2. Voltage was at .6 when I measured it. Then I went to measure again and I am back to 0v...
I replaced the CD3218 chip and got the 5v back via magsafe. USB-C ports are all lit up and staying at 5v on both sides. But while doing the diode mode PP1V8_S2 is showing 0.
UF400= CC1 is 1.49v,
But CC2 is 0v
I had replaced R5216 which is supposed to be 255K, with a 270K as this was the closest...
I have replaced the U5200, no change however I wonder if I somehow damaged something from the magsafe connector wobbling. I always stick electrical tape around it so it does not touch anything on the board it should not. The SYS_DETECT I get 0v but SYS_DETECT_L @ Q5155 does get 1.5v. I have...
I waste a lot of time on crap like this. This is an expensive board and all my customers data is on it. Where else should I look at? I just replaced R5503 and the Magsafe light is back to blinking! But intermittently the magsafe light blinks, and sometimes it doesn't. Furthering my research...

History: Customer spilled tomato juice on his computer, lots of damage. I had it powered on and working, was charging at first too. The customer brought this back to me twice. Each time it was not charging.
After visually inspecting, I saw 2 damaged diodes, I did not have...
I got nothing both before and after removing the two fuses on C5250. I did replace U5200 too. I am going to attach some images of this pad that is missing, the boardview that I have does not show these two pads, so I have no idea what they are there for. Maybe you may know? I did notice there...

Issue: Apple logo appears for about 2 seconds then screen goes black if timed just right when attempting to power on. Computer never turns on all the way however the meter shows it is getting 20v with the board in or out.
History: Customer was doing a Ventura security...
Okay, I was getting .8v on both resistors so I have replaced both of these resistors. R5216 I did not have the exact resistor, so I replaced it with a 270k even though it calls for a 255K. R5216 I had the exact one 750k. Now I am getting 1.32v from both. R5215 pin 1 I get 5v. I also replaced...
Okay, that makes sense, thank you.
I am lost on checking these LDO's. I have the XinZhiZao boardview and schematic, but this board is not the exact board layout I have. Most of it is correct, but some of it is not. The XinZhiZao software is for the 820-02382-16, but I am working on 820-02382-A...
RD966 does not have any components. I have another persons board in here and verified there is nothing on this part of the board. I still need to stick one on it?
Now I am at 5v with the USB meter.
No Magsafe light is coming on. I did try reflowing the UP800 but is looks like 5v is getting to the U5200, but hardly anything is going out. This chip 489900a4, I am assuming would cause this like the U7000 chips? I have 0 of these chips in stock. Could you...
I found C5888 was knocked off the board, so I replaced it. Fans do not spin at all now no matter if keyboard is plugged in or not. I am also not seeing the Apple logo with progress ba unless I press the power button a couple times while it does boiot up. I just see the customers login name...

Board history: Severe liquid damage all around C7701 and surrounding areas. I replaced about 20 or so capacitors in this area.
When I put everything back together, everything on the board was working, including the keyboard caps lock light. But when I sealed it up all...
Yes, 3.4v and stable.
U7800, I am not confident which U7800 voltages I am supposed to check:
PMIC_SYSPWROK: 0v
PMIC_PCH_PWROK: 0v
PMIC_ALLSYSPGD: 0v
PMIC_RSMRST_L: 0v
PMIC_INT_L: 3.3v
PM_PGOOD_P1V8: 0v
PM_SLP_S5_L: 0
PP3V1_RTC: 3.089v
PMIC_VCCST_PGD: 0v
PPBUS_PMIC: 13.04v
PM_PCH_PWROK: 0v...
Nothing at L7690. I do not have a known good board.
All my measurements I have been providing has been with the board out on the desk.
U7650 Pins:
23: 13.04v
22: 3.29v
12: 0v
13: 0v
29: 0v
21: 0v
All power rails before leading up to S5 seem to be present. There is damage in the backlight...

Board History: Some liquid damage, would not power on at all.
Replaced: U7000, U7650, C7689, C7651.
USB meter goes to 20v.
When I first plug in the charger, I see it jumps up to about 3v on C7651 during the first few seconds of being plugged in, but it drops off.
Guess what!? I just tried DFU restore with the screen plugged in and it took the restore! I had the screen plugged in though too previously and it never worked out. Anyhow, I got it doing an internet recovery now. Thank you again so very much!
The voltages were present before I tried doing the revive/restore. I only get the 1 LED light presently (right before this I had no LED lights). This revive/restore is messing with the bootup sequence. I did also retry the restore, but it got stuck. I had it hooked up for over an hour, it just...
