    820-02020 No Video

I get 3.29 on PP3V3_SW_LCD_CONN. Does that seem a little low? 5V looks good. Both have voltage the entire 10 seconds of testing, I do not see them drop at all. Caps lock light stays illuminated the entire time after booting up. USB activity is there too. I don't have history on the board but I...

    820-02020 No Video

Board has no video on external monitor nor on built in screen. I have nothing on LPDP_INT_HPD. The computer is booting up because I hear the chime. The fan spins up really fast after 1 to 2 minutes. Where else should I look?

    820-00840 No video

Yes, both ports have no video however it does turn my monitor light from amber to white, so it is indeed getting some sort of signal. No, caps lock light is not coming on, but I do have USB activity (mouse lights up).

    820-00840 No video

Board has been liquid damaged, and it is powering up all the way to S0. I did have video on it about 1 month ago, it sat, now after having hooked it up, it has no video now. When I hook it up to an external monitor, the monitor does detect a signal but never shows any video. D3452 was knocked...

    820-01598 Slow and choppy

Problem: Very slow/choppy with the trackpad abd keyboard when doing internet recovery. Internet recovery when I get to the wifi selection, it finds the wifi, but I enter the password and it just spins, never connects. I was able to do a successful restore and revive. The fan spun up only once...

    820-01598 Stuck at 20v

    Board only pulls 20v, .03 Amps. I have replaced U7000 C7030 and C7040 pull about .300v. Q7030 pin 10 gives me 20.55v, pin 9 is .146v, pin 8 is at 5v. I have already replaced Q7030. What am I missing?

    820-01958 No S3

Board has liquid damage, I had to route a jumper wire in the U7700 area on the PPBUS_HS_CPU rail which is at 12.6v. I get 3.2v on P1V8PRIM_EN. Isn't this supposed to be 1.8v? The LED light is in what appears to be a white color or possibly blue. I have nothing on PVDDQ_EN, .290v on...

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

The board is now at 5v but never pulls amps until after about 30 or so seconds, but then the USB-C meter reboots at random with both sides. Could this be because of the programming issues I have had? I know usually if it reboots like this, the CD3217 chip may need to be reflowed/replaced. This...

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

Well, 1/3 different programmers (software) worked I believe. I used the NeoProgrammer and even though it did not have the exact chip. I chose the one closest to W25Q80DV. Now to see if this helped.

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

Thanks, I used another chip from a donor board and I am having success, but I am trying to use the .bin file you provided but it tells me it successfully programmed the chip, but when I close out the program and reaqd the chip again, the chip goes back to what it had before. I also clicked...

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

Okay, I got the parts in today and I have been fussing with it all day long. I have used multiple software programmers but one of them told me the chip may be write protected and to click unprotect. I have tried this but get no where. It reads the chip just fine, but I cannot erase or reprogram...

    820-01987 Power Aliases

No I did not even think of that, thank you. Gotta grab the laptop from home. Could you answer my above question from today @ 11:43 AM? Or tell me where I can go to find this out?

    820-01987 Power Aliases

Well I am not neccessarily looking for just one power rail. I just would like to know where I could go on the table of contents to start the troubleshooting process of making sure that the board has power in all the right places. I am already aware of the CD3215/17 wiki, but after that, where do...

    820-01987 Power Aliases

I am having a difficult time troubleshooting these newer boards. The older boards had the Power Aliases page in the schematics, but these newer boards don't have this. I have been looking at the Power FET's to troubleshoot. Can someone clue me in on what is the best way to look for these Power...

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

Continuity looks good from what I could tell. I have a donor board here so I have been comparing in diode mode too. As for U3060, I have a CH341A USB programmer here...

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

I have swapped out both the U3100 and U3200 chips, no difference. These resistors are part of the problem. Let me upload a picture. The schematics I have do not show where all these circular pads are going to except for the closest one by C3011 at the top right of this cap. What do you mean by...

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

Meter never restarts, and is not stuck on .3 amps. When I first plug in the USB meter draws no amps, but after about 30-40 seconds, the amps jump to .39, for about 3 seconds, then the amps drop back to 0, and it repeats this cycle, the meter never reboots, but stays on 5v. PPBUS_G3H goes from...

    820-01958 Pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R

Board is out Board is stuck at 5v, it seems to draw amps .3 or less I have pulsing on PP1V8_SLPS2R which I found when trying to inspect the boot up process of the CD3217 chip. The board did have some significant liquid damage in the r3091 and top right of u3100. When plugged in to power, my...
