is the criteria for s4 en same as macbook?
that did the trick, i drill it down to SSD issue. Problem is i tried several SSD(apple ssd), known good working and tested with another macbook runs fine! but some of them were not detected at all, getting Folder logo on boot, but found 1 that boots and shut down properly now.
Macbook air 2017 initially came in with no boot, troubleshoot and found that SSD was dead. had it replaced and when running diagnostic and other stuff found it was laggy when on battery. found out Battery connector was broken. now also notice that the macbook will not/takes a long time to shut...
sorry for ranting but WTF??? board came from a customer who previously passed to a shop who says can't be fix and needed board replacement.
she needed data but sabotaging the board for business? i'll make sure this shop is properly backlisted and known to all local shops and customers to stay...
no other component that i can find that are missing related to SSD.
when you say Classic SSD failure, the NAND itself fail?
i see alot videos with same symptoms but they do a CPU reball instead and SSD is back.
unfortunately for me customer is paying alot for data, i will have to even replace CPU if needed.
i dug alittle further, found that vcore power was not enabled by u7100.
and possible for you to help check if R7861 is supposed to be no stuff or i'm indeed missing a resister there
on the old battery is 0v at the connector but 10.9V at the terminals, guess the battery controller board is dead somehow
on the new battery connector 11.3v ppbus is 11.3v and 3v3_g3h is 3.2V
i want to add as well that the low battery sign does not consistently come up.. sometimes it does...
820-01958 came in with a water damage at the titan ridge area, surrounding area cleared up.
macbook now boots with battery but not charging. 20v when plugged in charger but 20ma. customer took back macbook for data backup, brought back laptop with depleted battery to be fixed.
