NO it does not, strange though the track pad clicks. the cpu gets warm then gets real hot before the fan spins. i have a know good hard drive that gets really hot to the touch on the first chip out from the connector

checked SMC_LID thinking maybe it thinks the lid is closed. It measures 3.37v

Ok, just an update: Pin 3 on Q7812 had a partial connection (hence the very random shut down). Had my daughter remove it by heating the board from the underside. Worked great. She then cleaned area and replaced component. Another Macbook Pro back in service. Thanks, guys This one is done!

OK, liquid hit the Q7812 pin 3 , PP3V3SO_EN_L i have the PP3V3SO_EN obviously since the computer works. I assume the Q7812 is bad, but it is surrounded by connectors. What is the best way of replacing without destroying the surrounding connectors?

The problem with computers, phones, etc that are water/bullet proof is that Samsung/Apple will lose there continuing revenue streams. They already have phone replacement cycles at 1 year or less. If they make them too "unbreakable" who will buy the new ones? We are consumers, Apples prices...
