27" imac 2011 problem with grafic card and ASD

hello friends,

i have here an imac 27" with a grafik card with 216-0811000 chip. Problem was 2 blue stripes from up to down.

after replacement of the gpu everything is ok.

now a client send me a grafik card from a 27" imac and with a 216-0732025.

i used the imac with the 216-0811000 grafik card to check the grafik card from the other client with the 216-0732025.

no dissortion of grafik but when running ASD 3S145A and running the Display test so it passing only the Fragment instruction test and the Vertex instruction test, all other tests (open gl...) failing.

is that a gpu problem or doesnt match the card with the imac?

There are no new 0811000 chips available, where did you get that?
0732025 also fail often enough, I always replace them with 0732019

I know the problem. I tryed everythere but no chance to get new 216-0811000. but that is not my question.

I wanted to know if it should pass the Display test in ASD 3S145A with the 216-0732025? And if yes, do you see a chance that it will pass after replacement with the same or with an 073219(thanks for that hint, I didnt knew until now.)

I have no idea, this is the reason why you should only work on complete machines! I don't doubt the GPU is bad, just replace and try it.

Do not hijack threads. 0811000 is a totally different chip than 07322019. You can swap the entire card though.

Do you have any information about replacement for 0811000?
Now I use chips from dell cards but this isn't best source

There are no chip, the Dell cards are also Chinese junk and are all reflowed/baked crap. There is no solution for 0811000. Replace with a HD4850 card from a 2010 machine is the best option.

I know that isn't best solution to use this chip but I have only 3 returns from 20 changed in last year.
But now only 3 left on my stock and I looking for new supplier.
Now I didn't find anything in good quality all is as You wrote "Chinese junk"

There are no new chip THEY ARE ALL JUNK OR FAKE. What else do I need to say? There is NO solution for 0811000 chips.

I agree with You about new chip but i looking for supplier of card HD 4850, i bought few but all was in terrible condition.
