820-01041 no trackpad or keyboard

Arrived with L6700 blown up. Customer claims it smoked after changing battery. Replaced L6700 soldered direct to pin 1 of C6700 and a wire ran to pins 26 and 24 of J6700 but still no trackpad or keyboard. Also tried new trackpad.

What should be checked next??

What about pins 21 & 23 of J6701?
Do you get 5V_G3S on both connectors?

Yes 5V_G3S is present on both connectors.

solved after replacing trackpad cable

This recently came back for the same problem. Trackpad and keyboard not working. After reseating cables trackpad is working again but still no keyboard.

5v present pins 26 24 and 23 on J6700

What should be checked next?

Keyboard I2C bus connects with trackpad.
You must test with known good keyboard, as it has embedded electronics.

Try good trackpad flex too.
Be sure to have good contacts at J6700.
Check voltage and diode mode to ground at I2C_KBD_SCL/SDA lines.
