M1 MacBook Air True Tone after screen replacement

Did you swap with new chinese LCD assembly?
In such case, you've got a NON True Tone screen for sure...
 
I thought this would be the case no matter if its original or not? Like on an iPhone screen you need to program the LCD to the phone. Is that not the case on these True Tone MacBooks?

Nope. Mac screens are different. If you get a True Tone one it will work, if you get a non True Tone one it won't work, simple as that. No need to reprogram.
