I am wondering whats peoples experience is with this tip. I have one that I use with a Hakko FX-951. The tip is incredibly precise and it makes the difference however even set to 450 if I get a large amount of solder it will struggle to go through it and wicking a large pad will not happen. The wick ends up sticking to the pad. There is no offset and as a workaround I am using a Weller to clean large pads. The Weller is excellent but it does not give the precision of the Hakko however using both works. What does everyone else do in situations like this? I don't fancy the idea of using a T15 handle and tip everytime I can not work through solder and keep disconnecting and reconnecting the handle cable.
