  • Can I replace 216-0732023 with 216-0732025 or 216-0732019 chips?

    Hi there,

I have a graphic card to fix. Its an AMD ATI HD 4870 M98 XT from Alienware laptop. I can't source the exact same chip from anywhere (SEE doesn't have it): 216-0732023 and I was wondering if I can put 216-0732025 or 216-0732019 instead?

    Thanks.

Dont't think so. M98XT is also 0732026, maybe try that one.

Thanks Duke. I only find 0732026 from SEE that are refurbished, which is reballed I supposed. Reballing I can do myself but something tells me that it aint gonna solve the problem for a very long time.

I have a few 026 that I'm not going to use. Are you EU based?

Do you have a reball template for this chip? I tried this chip in place of 2019 but that gives problems. Chip needs to be reballed but was new.
