Hello,

I received this MacBook. It was liquid damaged. Around the SMC (smc should be fine, this one has the underfill around the SMC).
No corrosion! Liquid damage around the LPC+SPI connector. I removed the connector before ultrasonic cleaning. I cleaned the
board, but still does not chime.

SPI_MLB_CLK is missing. After a few second it comes on, but stays at 0V.
Also SPI_MLB_MOSI is missing. Is this a dead PCH? I know this could be SMC too, but how to find it out?
I hate changing things especially if it's a BGA.

Thank you!

On Y2605 I've 0.8V and I can see it's oscillating.

I checked the resistors and all are good.
I tried different BIOS, same thing.

Yes, the board stays on and the CPU Vcore is present. It's 0.9V.
CPU gets pretty hot after a while. PCH hot from the beginning.

USB mouse lighting up? If not it will probably be corrosion under the SMC or any other BGA where liquid came close. Flux and some heat, NOT reflow!

No, USB mouse does not light up. I did some heat and flux on SMC,PCH,CPU. Nothing really happened.
