  • [SOLVED]820-3330 USB_B Dead, but has 5v.

    Dead USB Port A not B, mistyped. :/

    It is receiving power okay.

    Board looks like it may have been water damaged but customer claims it just stopped working.

    I have a Boardview but no schematic for this one, so some guidance would be appreciated.

    Where should I start?

    Measure on diode mode both pins of L4600. Corrosion around U4650 is common too.

      L4600::Pin1 == 0.487
      L4600::Pin4 == 0.491

      L4600::Pin2 & Pin 3 == OL.

      U4650 looks spotless. The whole board is really clean if it weren't for redish probe points.

        Uhm, do I need to tell you L4600 is bad?

            I need a part number if possible please.

            I can't find a schematic so I'm doing this all off only a boardview.

                Thanks for the screen shot.

                I took the part from a 3115 board and she booted straight off the USB_A.

                I'll try mark this post as SOLVED, but maybe a moderator can if they see this.

                Thanks to dukefawks too!
