  • 820-3462 not starting

    Hi Guys,

    I have a 820-3462 that does not start up, no liquid damage it just stopped working. All voltages are present but on L7510 and L7520 i get only 0.7v instead of 1.25. I have checked U7400 its powered at pin 46 at 5V. CPUIMVP TON A and B have 12.35, r7402 and 03 are 181k ohm so seems OK too. L7550 gives 0 reading. I saw in a video from Lewis that Ton A and B often fail but it seems to be working here. How should I go about to troubleshoot this?

    All other voltages are OK.

    It IS starting because you have CPU Vcore. 0.7V is fine there.
    Does a USB mouse light up when plugged in? Fan spinning?

        Do these machine automatically start up when power on via connector like the Airs? Or they need a keyboard to start?

          Just going through all powerlines again and noticed I have only 0.3mV here -> PP0V75_S0_DDRVTT

            What do you get on L7330? What is resistance to GND on PP0V75_S0_DDRVTT?

              1.35V on L7330 and 0.108v in diode mode.

                      R7978 = 3.34v
                      PLT_RESET_L = 0.01mV

                        Ugh this one is probably going to suck....
                        Resistance to GND and diode mode on PLT_RESET_L?
