Are you sure? The similar board 00239 appears to go through the trackpad but this is 01949 which the keyboard connects straight to the logic board.

I'm still trying to pursue the possibility of extracting the data.

The trackpad looks in good condition. I have it and a new keyboard connected but still cannot get it into Target Disk Mode. Do you have any ideas? Anything else I could look at to see what could be causing the problem?

Brand new keyboard didn't work. I held T, it goes from 5v to 20v, but it doesn't appear in second macbook disk utility.

Came in with no display. Retrieved data through target disk mode. Extracted mobo with no visible signs of damage. Connected to monitor through usb, screen backlight comes on but nothing displayed (no apple logo). L7210 0.725v PP5V_S0 5.14v 0.426 PANEL_P5V_EN 0v 0.515 PPBUS_G3H 13v 0.410...

Yes, I understand. But my comment had two parts and I didn't know which you were referring. Thank you for clarifying. With U8205 there is still no voltage on PM_EN_P3V3S5G

Check if PM_EN_P3V3S5G goes high, when? I'm not sure to which part of my comment you're responding.

Will try to source another keyboard. I noticed now the fans no longer spin. They had previously been working all along. I tried disconnecting keyboard, pwr button, etc. but with or without now the fans don't spin.

R7884 is good, gives 0 ohms. When I remove U8205 from the donor board, is there a way to test that it is good before installing?

Soldering a temporary wire got DFU mode working. I cut the wire and then ran revive but unfortunately it failed.

Indeed. Nothing was there at first. It's definitely not responding correctly. Tried to get it into target disk mode with ext keyboard but Apple Configurator 2 said it went into Recovery.
