I know i should have checked external image but it completely slipped my mind i removed the charge port at the moment to use in another machine, Just wondering if anyone seen this before?
Just an update, As i thought it didnt like my old monitor its weird though because it works with a A1706 and A1534. Purchased a newer USB C monitor and it is now displaying an image with that.
Crack is minor , usually I see a lot more cracks to not see an image.
cant explain why no external video though maybe it does not like my external display
Purchased this A1932 with a broken screen The crack is minor seems like i should still get an image, back light does turn on.
I disconnected the internal display and tried with an external display but cant get an image .
I have tested this setup with a A1534 and the external display will work...
Hi mate im not with the board now, but the R5281 and R5280 are the SCL/SDA SMC 5 SMBus lines aren't they(sorry dont have schematics with me atm either)
R5281 pin 2 0.502
R5280 pin 2 0.450
Also sorry i miss typed i ment Pin 2 R5280 is 1.1v
Will check the SMC 1 SMBus tomorrow.
Battery is good have tested with another board
R5281 diode mode 0.502
R5280 0.450
Replaced u7000
still the same
Pin 2 of R5261 stays around 1.1v
Would this be SMC? reflow or new one?
I use one of those headlight polishing pads you put on a drill with some metal polish seems to be the fastest way, Will have to use a quality polish afterwards to reduce swirl marks. Only if the coating is really hard to get off i will use that method otherwise sometimes it just nearly falls off...
So i have had so many of these about 10 where the track pad gets super hot. Have you encountered this problem frequently? is there a common cap that shorts or something? or just bin them?
